Names

Often Mormon parents give their kids weird names. Yesterday in church a guy spoke who said he named his daughter Taylie.

Or Tayley. Or maybe Tayleigh. Or Tayleee. This is Utah so it could be Tailee. Is that like a person that goes to a tailor to get his clothes altered? A Tailee?

  1. yeah...barry has problems with crazy names and weird spellings too. He has this joke about parents getting the bag of letters from scrabble and randomly pulling some letters out and making it into a name. Our favorite name (not mormon or utahn, by the way) is U Majesty. I'm sure we've told you about that little gem of a kid. :)

  2. Remember my roommate, Tiffanie, from BYU-Idaho? You don't? Well, I don't really remember her either but she named her daughter Taylie...she's from Idaho. That is all.

  3. Idaho, Utah, Arizona, and southern Alberta. It's all Utah to me...

  4. Utah/Idaho Latter-day Saints struggle to prove individuality by giving their children the names they wish they had been given. It's a mess.
